Empties/ Products I've Used Up #1

Heya!!!!

So it seems to me that empties are very popular in both blog and youtube world so I collected all the products that I've used up over the last couple of months to review to you guys.

So... lets get to the trash ... i meant empties :P

So I'll start off with face

1)
Coles Baby Wipes 80pieces - $2.50

An in expensive essential in my dorm room! Its really useful to wipe my face and hands, remove my make up, whip my table (no kidding! lolz) and more!

2) Hazelline Snow moisturizing cream

An Asian drugstore facial moisturizer and whitener that i love and have been using for years . Its really thick and heavy so i prefer to use this at night . The consistency feels like thick clumps of snow true to its name. Also cause its a whitening cream a little goes a long way as I made the mistake of slandering alot on my face making me look as pale as Casper the friendly ghost as it leaves a white caste on your face. However overnight your skin will absorb the moisturizer and the whiteness will disappear the next morning .

3) Estee Lauder Soft Clean foaming cleanser

Favorite facial wash! I have gone trough tubes of this. This is also my Mums favorite facial wash. It is on the pricier side but for face i rather spend more as ... well you need to look after your face.

4)  mario badescu alpha grapefruit cleansing lotion (sample)

Receive a this sample first time i went to Mecca Maxima. I really love this cleanser. I use this on a cotton pad after i finish removing my make up with make up remover and wipes, if i am wearing heavier make up I'll go trough my face especially my eyes and it removes a whatever is left over on my face including stubborn eyeliners.

5) lancome bi facil eye makeup remover

Gosh! This thing brings back memories of when i went to the Michelle Phan Melbourne meet up organized by Lancome last year! I won a contest organized by Pop beauty so i got a free ticket, alot of Lancom goodies, and of cause meeting Michelle Phan! Yup best night ever!!

Also that was the first time i ever tried Lancom products!

Of all the goodies that I received, this was my most favorite item. Its basically a oil free make up remover and I LOVE THIS! I hate make up remover that has an oily residue on so this one was really nice to use!

I am definitely going to repurchase this one day ... when i have the money to splurge :D

6) Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Body Wash

I love Crabtree & Evelyn! Its probably my favorite bath and body shop!

This body wash is great for for relaxing! It smells like peppermint (i forgot to mention this in my Video), lavender and the salty breezy ocean (yup sounds weird but it actually smells really nice!)

This is one of my top 5 scents from Crabtree & Evelyn and i have tried almost everything from the La Source range.

7) Crabtree & Evelyn Iris Body Butter

Iris is a really unique scent! It has this rustic flowery and sorta green earthy scent ( and i usually am not a fan of anything that smells earthy).

When i smell this i think of the English country site (which i dream of someday visiting). I think of fresh woodsy flowers. yah i love this scent! also one of my top 5 scent from Crabtree & Evelyn.

The body butter itself is really nice, thick and luxurious. I really like this for the Autumn and Winter times when my skin gets really dry and I'll sadder a good lot of this on my body.

The scent last quiet long and even transfer on my cloths (my pajamas smells so nice ;P).

Funny thing... before me and my mum even smell it we knew we wanted to buy it as the packaging of the jar was so nice (so was the price >.<") and vintage looking. The container holds alot of products so you are getting for what you are paying as it took me almost a year to use it up!

8) Lush Charity Pot

I am not a fan of the charity pot. Sorry Lush but this was definitely a miss for me. Its suppose to smell like cocoa butter but to me it smell like nuts mix with chlorine. Good thing i got the $2 sample.

9) + 10) L'oreal Shampoo and Conditioner

A good in expensive drugstore shampoo conditioner. My whole family buy them whenever Watson has them on sale.

11)  lush american cream (sample)

Tip for you lush lovers is to always ask sample (which they will happily give) if you want to try a new product but unsure on how you'll like it.

American Cream is a musky creamy vanilla scented conditioner. It is not as thick as how i usually will think a conditioner to be but it does the job of conditioning my hair. I put this on the ends of my hair after I shampoo. I also love how the scent stays in my hair!

I am planing to purchase this when i next go to lush the next time!

12) lush cynthia sylvia stout (sample)

Ok so i have gone trough countless samples of this shampoo to know that I can't live without it! yup no joke the sample that you see in the picture is probably my third sample of that shampoo...

So i currently do have it (just a small size) in my shower caddy.

I really like how this just makes my scalp feel really clean! I don't use this every day though.. just once a week to treat my hair to something nice and natural.

Also this reduce the oiliness in my hair. The scent will be a hit or a miss to some as its very herbal (even thought its called a "beer shampoo" :P) and reminds me of the Chinese Medicine hall that I used to follow my dad whenever we go there to buy tea or Chinese herbs.

Also the Lush guy recommended it to me for if you have thick hair.

13) Estee Lauder Pleasures (sample)

Ok so i have ALOT of this Estee Lauder Pleasures perfume samples as my mum always get them when she buys her skincare from Estee Lauder.

I've gone trough 2 little bottles over the past month.

Its a very strong, heavy and mature floral scent.

Its an all time favorite floral scent as this is one of the perfume that i ever used.

Ok so that's my empties and now  i need to go and take out the trash and recycle some of the other stuff .

Also if you want to see me ramble about my empties on my Youtube channle check it out here :D

Let me know if you have ever tried any of the product mentioned.

Till next time

Legend of Korra Book 2 Review: Chapter 3 ~ Civil War Part 1

WOW.... WTH... OMG... OMGASDFJKL; ....NO .... OH MY.....

HEYA!!!

So just watch Civil war Part 1 and i had to immediately blog about this!.. even if its 2am in the morning... ah well :P

So picking up from where we left off in the last Episode, the Northern water tribe  troops are entering the Southern water tribe and ordering the Southerners to go back to their home and practically stand out of their way.

Unalaq explain to Korra that his troupes are here to protect the now open spirit portal in the south and needs her to open another portal in the North in hope of uniting the water tribes (um yah... i have a feeling Unalaq plans is going south).

At Air temple island "Vacation Tenzin" is just getting started with him relaxing with Pema and Rohan ( aaaawww he is so cute :3). We also learn that Avatar Aang must have been favoring Tenzin over Bumi and Kay which starts making me question his parenting skills... Anyway it turns out that Aang only took Tenzin on his trips and not the other two which I have no Ideal how does this make Tenzin think they have a "perfect" family and childhood....So three siblings then leave to find Ikki who ran away because of Jinora and Meelo teasing her.

Back at the water tribe Korra parents were having a meeting with the southern water tribe. Most of the Southerners including Varrick intend to rebel against the North for disturbing their lives and even after Korra explain their intention they still are planning to War against the North thus causing a civil war! Korra's dad tells her talk her uncle in hope of preventing a Civil War.

Meanwhile, Bolin is pulling a trishaw with the twins (this makes me wonder if he is their slave or Eska Boyfriends... by the way it now hit me that the twins also reminds me of Azula the way they laugh ...)  . Eska then tells Bolin her plans when she goes back to the North she wants him to go with her and live in "Icy Bliss". This sort of scares Bolin and he consult Mako for advice on breaking up (good choice Bolin ...*sarcasm)

Korra confronts her Uncle about the civil war which Unalaq explains that it disrupt the balance between both tribes, spirits and the rest of the world and how its Korra's duties to reunite both tribe ... leaving the Avatar in doubt ...

Later in the streets three Southern children irritate some of the Northern troupes causing them to water bend the kids which made the Southern benders (adults) mad at their attack. Just as they were about to fight Korra try to prevent it from happening. Even though Korra is trying to be neutral and not taking sights the south thinks she is on the north side. Korra dad then comes in and stops the fight and as he attempt to talk to Korra she storm off.

Back to the Ikki search party, the Kataang  kids began to talk while Kya pointed out that Tenzin was not a good father having that he does not spend enough time with his kids due to his duties like how Aang was with them. Yah i really want some Kataang family flash backs now...

Next ... a Makorra moment that will make you go AAAAWWWW :3

So Korra returns home to Mako who greeted her with a "How was your day sweetie" (not as charming as Zuko ... but it will do :P) and  Korra flairs out all her problems to yet a clueless “Do you want advice or am I supposed to listen? Still not clear on that" Mako. He then suggest that they both go for a nice quiet dinner ...

BTW i had to insert this pic as its freaking hilariously awkward!

Which turned to be an awkward double date with a fifth wheel ( Deska) with Bolin and Eska. Bolin then tells his breaking up with Eska problems when the twins leave to get food.

Back to Kataang kids, Kya manage to find footprints which might belong to Ikki. Bumi suggest they jump down the waterfall which for Tenzin and Kya had benefits of bending their way down. Bumi then slips and falls into the waterfall. I freaking love this part! they turn a simple climbing down a waterfall (well not that simple) to something very comical!!

Korra return home where her mum confront her about her problems. Korra still mad about her father keeping his secret and that he and Tenzin keep her secluded in the South for her avatar training and also frustrated about the north and south going to war. I was kinda glad that Korra's mum reminded her that both north and south were separated for decades and that this was something that cant be changed in a day. However Korra storms out of the house and goes to Unalaq place in hope of stopping Varrick rebel which she believe her father is part of.

She gets there in time to stop a mask men from kidnapping her uncle (whom she believed to be her dad) and is attack by a group of the rebels (which i freaking love this fight sequence and that we get to see her use some air bending for once!) where she fights them and manage to catch the mask men with her uncle who turned out NOT to be her father.

Back at airtemple, Kya is healing Bumi's head from the fall while lecturing him that he cant do everything a bender can (*SIGHHHHHH nostalgic moment reminding me of Katara lecturing Sokka  :'D). This however stir big upraw of the trio eg, Tenzin being the only one going on trips with Aang, Bumi acting immature and Kya travel around the world. Kya however was the only one of the three who moved back to the south to be with her mother ever since Aang died. Also Bumi pointed out that both he and Kya are also Aang kids too. Having being fed up with this fight with his siblings, he tells Kya and Bumi to head back to the temple to see if Ikki have return while he continue searching.
Korra runs home relief to see her dad is not part of the rebellion and breaks down apologizing for her behavior and the pain she caused her parents the last few.... days??? (idk how much time has pass but i assume days). Her  parents than apologize to Korra for holding her back as they were hoping to put Tonraq past aside and have a normal live  ... which obviously didn't happen having that Korra turned out to be the Avatar  :P

Korra's mum then states that they know that one day Korra won't need them but Korra denies and saying she'll always need her parents (group hug!!!!! :D). This beautiful moment was however interrupted with Unalaq arresting Korra's parents for kidnapping had plotting against him  ...

the end for this episode...

Overview

OK I AM NEVER GOOD WITH CLIFF HANGINGS!! NEVER !!!

GOSH this episode was just!! wow!!

Ok first off let me just start with Kataang kids. Finally we get to know more about Bumi, Kya and Tenzin life as kids! Its definitely obvious that from the looks of things Aang favorite Tenzin of his three children could be cause Tenzin being the only Airbender to take over  the Air Normads Culture not to mention being Aang successor, Aang kinda neglected Bumi and Kya. Also Bumi being the only non bender into a family of benders will of cause feel left out and i wont blame him for trying to prove to his siblings that he can do what a bender can... though its still a bad ideal. I have a feeling he has been taking lesson from uncle Sokka having that he is also a non-bender and also explain why he acts like him.. i am hoping we will get a small story line of Sokka teaching him how to use sword and boomerang to fight. As for Kya, i somehow see her as a middle age version of Katara. Also I was quiet confused on who was the oldest as it was not stated in the last book who was the oldest and i think most of the fandom thought it was Kya bit in this episode its been cleared out that Bumi is the oldest, Kya is the second and obviously Tenzin is the youngest. Also Kya, Bumi and Tenzin's personality reminds me of an older version of Katara, Aang and Sokka... gosh i really hope there will be some flashback of them as kids in at lease one of the books!!! I think this story line is going to be interesting as Tenzin has this impression that they had a picture prefect childhood and family.

Also I am starting to question Aang's parenting skills... are Kya and Bumi exaggerating out of jealousy?? My theory is if we flash back to The Last Airbender series and comics I recall Aang did hope to raise a family in hope of being a good dad and all. But if he only took Tenzin to all non- airtemple places trips...WHY??? But then again Aang was raised by Monks and he did have to "keep the world in balance" and " look after republic city" and all those duties so it must have been hard for him to juggle father and avatar duties.

Also i have a feeling whatever Ikki storyline is going to is gonna have a link with Jinora story line (remember in my last recap that i have have a feeling that Jinora will play a key role in this book)

Oh and Pema when she ask her kids where is Ikki was freaking funny when Jinora goes "Who?" xD

Bolin in this episode was quiet interesting to watch on him being panic on having Eska as his girlfriend (by the way her laugh was just... creepy ... like a creepy dolphin). There were not alot of Bolin or Mako in this episode but it was a good handful to enjoy. Oh and Mako!! he is very sweet with Korra .. but still a very clueless boyfriend. As for Bolin asking Mako for Break up advice was hilarious!!! Also Mako in this book i actually like him alot more than in book 1 ... i thought he was a airhead jerk in book 1 but in book 2 he is really sweet with Korra (flash back he was also really sweet with Asami in book 1 when they were together ... )

Unalaq ... i am having more bad feeling about this guy .. why does he need to open both spirit portals???? Like seriously i have a feeling he is manipulating Korra to not only reunite both North and South so that he can be the Chief of the Water Tribes (very Tyranny is i do say so myself) but also by letting the North and South portal open ... I don't even have words for what this recipe of disaster this is going to!

Korra in this episode makes me feel kinda bad for the... even though i still was not a fan of her in the last two episode, this episode i however see her tone down.... by a bit... she is trying to be neutral and prevent a civil war from happening. I still don't get how after what happen with Tarrlok in the last book why can't she see that something about her uncle plans is not right???

I think this episode is kind of  knock in the head for Korra where she now pays the price for her action in the last two episode.

Korra's fight scenes in this episode was beautifully choreograph and I like how they also added her bending Air which is the element she used the least!

Also i am glad we get to see more of Korra's mum in this episode and speak with Korra about her problems. Also the ending when Korra goes to her parents... i was really glad that she fix thing up with her parents.

BUT THE ENDING!!!!! GOSH!!!!!!!! I WAS ALL ASDFJKL; ABOUT THAT ENDING!!!

I WAS GOING ALL "OH HELL NO" this is not happening!!! Just when everything has been patch up UNALOQ HAS TO RUINED IT AND ARREST KORRA PARENTS! UGH!

Words can't describe how much I want to shake Korra up and shout " notice some freaking tarrlok mirror signs!!!" last book her friends got arrested! this book her parents got arrested!!! WHAT NEXT!

Man i am never a fan of Cliff Hangers but this is determinately a great episode! it beats the last two episode by a landslide! I think the name Civil War suits this episode in all three story lines! Korra and her dad, her dad and uncle, the civil war between north and south, Kataang kids, even Bolin problems of breaking up with Eska so that he will not have to suffer "Icy Bliss". Best episode in this season and we are only in the third Episode!!!

Now for the next episode i cant wait!!!!

What do you think of this episode??? are you a fan of cliff hangers??

Till next time

Mall haul!!! JB-HIFI AND COTTON ON BODY

Heya!! So i going to the mall is a bit dangerous especially with sales going around and coupon ... so.....

HAUL TIME XD

So if you don't already know i have a YouTube channel and one of my favorite vids to do is Haul... Well I thought it will be cool to switch it up with posting it here on my blog on the stuff i pick up from the mall today.

Ok I'll start with Jb-Hifi which is  favorite shop for CD's and i wanted to take opportunity 20% off coupon to CD's and decided to get a couple on my wishlist that i'll never pay full price for and isn't something I'll usually pick up as i usually wait till the CD's are at $10 or a buy 2 get 1 free sale at JB-HIFI.

So i got sorta a theme here for this mini CD haul... TV soundtracks...yup...so i got 2 Soundtracks for 2 tv shows that really love but usually wont get.

Channeling my inner gleek in this picture!

First one is not a surprise to you guys as if you don't already known i am a hugh fan of Glee!!

So i saw this for $12 and after the discount was $10 and I have been eying on this since season 2 (yes guys its been a while... :p) and its Glee Presents the Warbler which apart of the new directions are my favorite glee show choir on the show as they are so different from the new direction and because they sing most of their songs Acapella it just makes them more cooler! They have a lot of awesome songs like Teenage Dream, Misery and Raise your glass!! I really wish they release another warbler album as there  many great warbler songs on the show and that they include songs from warblers other that Kurt and Blaine!

Also fun fact... If you don't already know fan fiction is one of my guilty pleasure and it also was a big influence to get this album as i just love alot of the warbler fanfict like Dalton and Brother Wes series (2 ultimate fav warbler related stories) and the "musical scenes" in the stories makes me want listen to them more. Yah i am obsess  with the warblers (and they are freaking cute in their Dalton uniform ;D)!

By the way my favorite warbler apart from Blaine and Kurt are Wes (my warbler crush :3 and i love reading fanfict that is about him xD), Jeff ( the actor Riker band R5 is freaking amazing!!), Nick (him leading the warbler in Up Down Girl ...*dead* ^^) , Trent ( how could you not love "bright ball of sunshine" ... Or as Finn will say of the group??? Also
His lines are freaking random XD) and Sebastian (yes i know he is mean ^{{\>£{\\ at times but dang his charm!! Also you have to admit he is a great performer and singer! Btw if he and Santana were not gay I'll ship them!!)

Ok so this will come as a surprise as the other tv soundtrack is Sonny with a Chance!

Just a heads up I may be on the verge of being 20 but i love watching Disney (confession... I still watch Austin & Ally and Good Luck Charlie) and hey you're never too old for Disney!

So Sonny With a Chance is one of the best  Disney live action series ( beats Hannah Montana and Wizard of Waverly place) and i freaking loved the series! I was quiet sad when they canceled the series but totally am ok an understandable with the reason. Demi Lovato who is the star of the show is one of my most favorites singer/actress/idol (cant wait to see her on GLEE!!) and she have a couple of songs on this album that i remember enjoying.

Other cast members also contributed to this soundtrack and Allstar Weekends (which is one of my favorite band) even have a song here! So it was sort of worth for me to get it since i have heard of it and love most of the songs.

It was slightly more pricier than what i am normally willing to pay for a cd ($12 after discount to be exact) but it was on my wishlist since I was 17 and the only one of that in stores so yah... Kinda a impulse buy but i manage to justify it :p

Also random but if any of you are into video games ( I am one of them ;D)  you'll know there is a new PS3 excluseve game coming out call Beyond two Souls staring Ellen Page and seeing this display makes me pump for the game release! Yah just a random pic but i do love video games and i do play them but not own any as i borrow from friends (boy am I in their debt lolz) and I cant wait for thos game to be releasd! Have not been this excited since the release of The Last Of Us (another awesome game that you have to play is you love the ps3)

Now i only got one item from cotton on body (and noooooo its not... You know ;p)

So i got this really nice an comfy jumper... Or hoodie for $10 which is a real steal having  that one of this Hoodie usually cost like $30!

Most of the hoodie were not in my size so it was either this or a pink one that i was not a fan of and Blue is my favourite color its perfect!
Me "modelling" my new hoodie

Its kinda a bold electric blue in a nice way with Nineteen ninety one written on. Its really nice and comfy so i can wear it when i just lazy to dress up for classes or want to lounge around in my sweats.

So that's a quick little haul of stuff that i picked up today at the mall. Let me know what you think of this quick little pick ups??? maybe I'll do if more often .

Till Next time

Legend of Korra Book 2 Review : Chapter Two ~ The Southern Lights

Heya!!!

Korra Recap Time xD

So this episode picks up from where we left the last time with Tenzin, his siblings and family on their way to the Southern Air Temples (and yes guys i went back and check which temple it was) for "VACATION TENZIN" while Korra and her Uncle Unalaq get ready to go for a trip to THE SOUTH POLE to open the Spirit portal and start her training there.

At the Air Temple, Tenzin's family is greeted by the Air Acolytes with very open arms and presents for Tenzin (airbender head shaver) and Pema ( a freaking large bouquet of flowers... like LARGE) while Jinora and Ikki are presents with a book share or fight for... wait Ikki does not even read!!! Meelo picks a flying lemur ( i miss momo) name Poki!

... why are all flying lemur maned after food??? lolz btw momo is a kind of dumpling and Poki reminds me of those Japanese chocolate sticks...

Bumi and Kay were mistaken as Tenzin's servants by the Air Acolytes! haha this part i keep laughing as those Air Acolytes does not know Avatar Aang has more kids ... but are not airbenders ...yah pity them :P

Definitely a good start to " VACATION TENZIN" XD

Now back at the Southern Water Tribes, Team Avatar (minus Asami) along with Unalaq and the twins are heading to the south pole with Korra and Unalaq. Korra's Dad Tonraq insist on joining them to protect Korra from the Everstorm.

Now this is the part where tension was build by the two brothers but interrupted and with  Bolin plowing in with his snowmobile ... idk but i feel like the comedy was a bit forced... but then hey its Bolin and Legend of Avatar so we had our fair share of awkward comedy in both past and present. And anyway this series has its fair share of seriousness and comedy.

Later when the gang stops to rest in a cave, Unalaq's theory of why the Dark Spirits are attacking them is cause of Tonraq! It turns out that Korra's dad was from the Northern Water Tribe and was banished ( does anyone think of Zuko here???) after he accidentally burned down a spiritual forest  in order to capture a group of Barbarians when he was general of the Northern Water Tribe!

Cause of this, the spirits attack the Northern water tribe and Unalaq uses some sort of water bending which I assume he will teach Korra and is the new sub-bending for water (yay new bending method!). So cause Tonraq was responsible for the damage he was banish hence leaving the Northern water tribe and going to the Southern water tribe and as Bolin pointed out  (did i mention how much i love this guy???) and got nudge by Mako (lolz xD) making Unalaq Chief of the Northern Tribe ... which was suppose to be Tonraq ... something is not right here...

Anyway Korra gets upset of her father not telling her the truth (well he was protecting her and not wanting the pass to take over the present ... oh come on Korra give your dad a break!) and runs away.

Ok a quick detour! Back at the Air temple (yes the Southern one) Tenzin is showing Jinora the the statue of all the past avatar while Ikki and Meelo are both crashing into others( oh dear... haha!!).  Jinora is showed admiring the statue of her Grandpa, Avatar Aang and sense something behind her... although nothing is there...could it be a spirit???

This scene i really enjoy. I feel really bad for Jinora didn't get a chance to meet Aang. She will definitely have  a great relationship with her Grandpa . Side note, I somehow can relate to this as i never got a chance to know my grandparents and sorta feel like I know what must have been going trough her mind here.

Now back to Team Avatar, Tonraq tells Korra he does not want her to repeat his mistake hence why he didn't tell her. He also insist that they abandon the mission and leave the physical and spirit world separately. Korra however as the Avatar feels like its her mission to bring peace to both Physical and spirit world (wow... for once i actually agree with her ) as well as to prove to her mentors that she is at her full potential.

Also Unalaq point out that after the hundred year war the South is spiritual imbalance since the sky does not light up with the Southern lights like how the North has Northern Lights. This is quiet interesting considering in the real world there is really such phenomenon of Northern Lights

At Everstorm, the group is once again attack by the Dark Spirit as well as Bolin snow mobil which the twins save him from crashing and wow ... them sliding down on those ice shoes was epic! i take back all those stuff i say about them being emo and creepy! OH! and Bolin sliding down in his inflatable jacket was FREAKING FUNNY! Especially at the end where he is like " can someone please deflate me" and the twins water bending those ice was  FUNNY XD

Anyway, Korra and Unalaq try to fight the spirits and this part surprises me when Korra attempted the technique that Unalaq use even though it does not succeed was impressive! Considering the fact that she just watch her uncle movement was impressive! When Unalaq once again save the day with his technique that  we still don't know what it is, Korra's dad insist on turning back but instead she coldly tells him to leave.

... wait what??? ... WHAT???? ... ok so here is where all my anger once again comes back! i swear even though she is the avatar that is no way to treat your dad!

Before her dad leaves, he and Mako have a quick little talk  and now team avatar minus now Korra's dad goes to the frozen spirit forest with a where the spirit portal is frozen and Korra must go in alone to open it. In there she gets attack by the dark spirits (idk why but i thought of those snakes in Hercule) and enter the Avatar state in attempt to break free from the Dark Spirits which also breaks the portal open! (woot!!) While that was happening in the Southern Air Temple, Jinora was somehow woken up, goes to the statue room and witness an Avatar statue light up! (hhhmmmm could that be Avatar Wan ... you know the first ever Avatar????). Also Korra's dad turn back looking up into the Southern Lights smiling (yay proud dad moment :'D)

Anyway when Korra makes it out safely, (Borra bromance moment xD and yes i call it bromance as i feel they are more of siblings and not lovers) Bolin runs and hugs Korra and Eska waterbends him away from her asking "why are you initiating physical contact with another woman" (HAHA I AM Liking Eska more!! Dang! Jealous???? )

Unalaq prep talk to Korra about him trusting her and that this is the first step of them restoring balance spiritually for the south. She also hugs Mako ( makorra moment!!!!) and apologizes for her behavior. The episode ends with the gang back at the Southern Water Tribe ... but with the Northern Water Tribe troupes arriving on shores. Unalaq tells a worried Korra that this is just the beginning of them restoring balance...

oh crabbbbbbbbbbbbbbb !!!!!!

Overview

This episode I really enjoy! Heck i enjoyed it more than Episode one!

I love seeing Tenzin teaching Jinora about the past Avatars and i have a feeling that her role is going to be very significant in this Book. From the trailers it looks like Jinora will be helping Korra with her spiritual Journey in future episodes. Also to the fact that Jinora is the most knowledgeable and spiritual of the Airbabies (too early to say about Rohan :P) but I can see her being the one to meet Avatar Aang if that does happen. Anyway i just found that whole Avatar statue lighting moment really interesting considering it mirrors with Korra opening the portal.

Boliesna moments were just hands down funny! I SHIP THEM THIS MOMENT FORWARD!

Tanraq ... wow ... the pieces of the puzzle makes sense on how a Northern Water Bender ended up in the South! I feel really bad for him as he did have his reasons that was to protect Korra. But i agree with him ... I have suspicion about his brother and he does know Unalaq ALOT better than Korra! Also ... his storyline i just can't stop thinking about Zuko or Uncle Iroh ... Zuko the banish prince and Uncle Iroh who was suppose to be fire lord but its Ozai that becomes firelord!

As for Korra... now like I say this is a character that i both love and hate! Korra may have master the physical  part of being the Avatar, to the fact that she impressively attempt that spirit bending just by observing her uncle was impressive! However fact that her attitude was just so .. UGH! Like seriously I know she wants to prove herself but i don't see her being rude and just turning her OWN father away anyway of proving herself! I could have used more words to describe this but i am trying to keep this G rated...

Unalaq ... when he said this is just the beginning at the end two things came into my mind... one being CRAB this is Tarlok 2.0 happening and two the fact that his troupes are what seem to be like about to ATTACK the Southern Water Tribes... why do i have a bad feeling a Civil war is about to happen ...

Anyway that's all i have to say for this Korra Recap. Let me know your thoughts in the comment below!

Till Next Time

Legend of Korra Book 2 Review : Chapter One ~ Rebel Spirit

Heya!!!!

So FINALLY LEGEND OF KORRA BOOK TWO IS FINALLY OUT (plz mind my fangirl excitement)

So every week when a new Legend of Korra episode comes out I'm gonna do Korra Cap where i'll review and ramble about the episode as well as give my thoughts on it. So do expect this to be a weekly thing :D

So Book 2 of the Legend of Korra is call Spirits where it takes place 6 months after the event of book 1 and man has alot of things change...

First off the Republican city is now ruled by a President i stead of benders who act as the council. Hence more free time for Tenzin to focus on training Korra and spend time with his family (aka "Vacation Tenzin" xp haha).

NOW .... team Avatar... well it looks like they split up and went their own direction after book 1.

Bolin is now captain of the Fire Ferret (wait what??) and remember in book 1 there were two pro-bending supporter dress like Korra and Mako??? Yup they are part of the Fire Ferret... Which are going down hill and out of the tournament...

Now Mako.... This kinda confuse me as he is part of the police force (which prior to this i though it was only earth benders who can bend metal that could join but i guess i was wrong...) with Lin Bei Fong (which where the heck is she??) and we see him taking down some bad guys CSI style with Sokka cheesy pick up lines ( Dear Mako... leave it to the pro ... Just .... No ...). If its by Zuko its acceptable (imagining Dante Basco Sexy raspy voice saying "looks like having car trouble, good thing the police are here" ... *sigh... yup need to snap out of daydreaming xD)

As for Asami, she is now the head of future industry since her dad has been toss to prison having that he was one of Amon "minions" in Book 1 and Future Industry is going down hill... Not good... But she did mentioned going to the soutern water tribe to get a contract agreement.

As for the Avatar aka Korra ... Wow i thought she will be more mature after the event in book 1 but nope she is still the same old Korra... More stubborn ... More air headed.... more rebellious... yup this story is going south ...and i thought she learned her lesson from book 1... not really...

Anyway we see her air racing with the Air babies with Commander Bumi (by the way he retired from the military now) and she uses her power to go into the avatar state as a "turbo booster" and wins the race.

Tenzin saw that and got upset at Korra try to lecture the stubborn avatar about misusing her powers and goes on and on about going to the air temples to continue her air bending training (which still needs alot like ALOT of work on) as well as to get her to connect with her spiritual side more. She may have master the physical content of being an Avatar but she need alot of work with her spiritual side.

So team Avatar Southern Water Tribe to where Korra reunite with the family and Tenzin and Bumi unite with theirs ( i keep forgetting that Katara is their mum lolz) as well as we are introduced to their older sister Kya (who used to beat up Tenzin as a kid! haha!). We also get to see Korra's uncle Unalaq who is the Northern Water tribe Chief, and cousins Desna (the guy twin) and Ekna (the girl twin) who both creep me out with their non emotion poker face ... does anyone think of Mai ??? Zuko's girlfriends/ ex-girlfriend (still not so sure what happen to her after The Promise)

So Korra's uncle is disappointed about the Southern Water Tribe "Glacier Spirits Festival" turned into a commercial fun fair and how they are not connected with their spiritual side since its suppose to be "a solemn time of fasting and meditation". Also he believe this is the cause of making the Dark Spirits angry hence kidnapping fishermen that were showed earlier in the episode.

Also a quick Bosami (Asami + Bolin) side plot, they go to this rich business man name Varrick to seal a contract in order to save Future Industry which they successfully did... Bolin style :P. I swear i ship this two if thing does not work out between Bolin and Eska or if General Iroh does not come back ... ok scrap that i ship Boleska!!! General Iroh plz come back!! I want to hear Dante's sexy raspy voice xD

We also learn later that the reason why Korra has been locked up for 16/17 years of her life for her Avatar training instead of the Avatar traditional travel around the world training with benders from other kingdoms is not because it was Avatar Aang wishes for the White Lotus to keep her in the South but her father and Tenzin wishes. Cause of this Korra gets upset as she thinks has no control of her life and can't be trusted.

A side note.. when Varrick introduced the Otter Penguins i started screaming and fangirling as it brings back the nostalgic of Avatar the Last Airbender book 1 when  Aang play with he them xD yay the producer bring back those cute Otter Penguins!!

Now for you Makorra fans out there ... DON'T WORRY!!! they are still an item XD

At the carnival we see Korra and Mako feeding each other farry floss... or candy floss .. idk which and we see poor Bolin being the awkward third wheel to their date. Here a bit more of Korra and Mako relationship is showed where they discuss about Korra being locked up over a game of Squirt the water into chibi Aang mouth (nostalgic of The last air bender here xD). Korra uses her water bending skill and wins a toy Appa and kinda gives Mako a hard time on how he should answer her which his honesty of agreeing with Tenzin was a bed move in Korra's Book.

Also Bolin trys to interact with the twins (he thinks Desna is a girl ...) and surprisingly the emotionless Eska finds him amusing and drag him to one of those game booth.

Now onto the action bit ... later that night Naga wakes Korra and the gang up as it turns out they are under attack by the Dark Spirits! So Korra with Mako, Bolin, Tenzin, her Dad and uncle try to defend the Spirit by force, Korra entering the Avatar state and peacefully talking to it but neither work. In the end Korra's uncle Unalaq does this bending where he "guides" the spirits away with this glowing thread .

After this, Unalaq offer to teach Korra how to defend the Spirits and be her Spiritual adviser. Korra who has loss interest of training advance air bending accepts this (which made me freaking angry as she is pushing Tenzin, the guy who guided her all those months in book one and you can see he look like he was about to cry! ugh Korra why are you so freaking stubborn?!?!?! >.<") offer which both Tenzin and her father disapprove but still let her go.

The episode ends with Tenzin and going to the air temple (which one??? i totally forgot) for "Vacation Tenzin" where Bumi and Kay follow on request of his mum Katara ( sigh ... i miss my mama when i saw this part). It also ends with Unalaq telling Korra he has great plans for her.

So yup that's my ramble of this episode.

Overall it was a great opening to the season. It was a great introduction episode to pick up from where we left in the last book and a great introduction into this book where we will get to learn more about he Spirits and the Northern Water Tribes that we have yet to see since the Avatar the Last Airbender series.

I like the name of the episode name of the episode Rebel Spirit as it suit with what's happening that is Korra rebelling against her mentor in favor of Unalaq and also learning about the Dark Spirits which for Korra i think the reason for following Unalaq is to learn more about defeating them and bringing balance between her world and the spirit world.

Love Bolin even more in this episode ( and the voice actor is freaking awesome as well ).

Korra... as much as I love her i really hope she will come to her sense and realize that there is something sketchy about her uncle and just go back to Tenzin and get the Air bending thing straighten out as well as just give clueless Mako a break. She is very rebellious in this episode after finding out the reason she was keep secluded for her Avatar training and just need someone to flatten that big air head of hers. (but i still love her)

However one thing i like about Korra is that she has the ability of controlling herself on going in and out of the avatar state which was something that even Avatar Aang could not master till near the end of book 3 considering the fact her is more spiritual grounded than Korra. If only she realize and use her full capacity the right way I'm sure the adults and mentors will give her more trust and freedom that she desire.

To be honest i see where Korra rebellious and stubbornness is coming from here there is two point of view. One is that no one trust her and everyone who is controlling her and telling her what to do with her life since she was like ... idk ... 4 years old and keep lock up in the Southern Water Tribes for most of her life and another is Korra wanting to take control of the life, make her own decision (even though i have a feeling most of them are bad... really bad ones... )and just gain the trust of others. I have a feeling this is gonna go on for this whole book.

Like i say i am having suspicion about her uncle... i have a feeling this is Tarlok 2.0 happening where he "sweet talk" Korra into being on his side and he uses her for his greediness of gaining more power. Yah i am seeing a mirror here where like Tarlok in book 1 bribe and sweet talk Korra into joining his force team. Its a bit early in the series to tell if he is going to be another villain but we do know that he will be the one teaching a new form of sub-bending.

Asami's character is probably one of the most underrated  character in this season and I am hoping to see more than her 3 minute of exposure in future episode soon. Also WHERE IS LIN BEI FONG???? She was just briefly mentioned by Mako and that's it !!! Hopefully we will see more of her in future episode too (pretty please :P).

Oh and one last thing is Avatar Aang and Katara Children! Finally we get to see the trio and their sibling relationship together! We all know that Bumi and Kay are very similar and according to their mum "very active as kids" while Tenzin was known  as the serious one. Its fun watching them have a throwback and tease Tenzin about beating him up as a kid.

So yay for the fact that Legend of Korra is back in season with Book 2!!! Keep a look out for the next Korra Cap Southern Lights.

What do you think of Legend of Korra Book 2 Premier??? What do you expect to see in the future episode?? Let me know in the comments below.

Till next time

Song of the Day: American Girl by Bonnie McKee (and covered by Alex Goot, Landon Austin & Luke Conrad

Heya!!!

So i really really need a break from my notes and i hop on you youtube and look at my subscription feed for something new to read and I saw Alex Goot, Landon Austin and Luke Conrad colab to cover of American Girl by Bonnie McKee in the suggestion box and guess what??? its stuck in my head!!! 3 days later the song is still stuck in my head :P

Keep in mind i heard this before i heard the original version. Alex, Landon and Luke version is very strip down acoustic and just chill and mellow which something I was looking for after stressing out on homework. The three voices definitely sync together really well. I really love watching their covers and vlogs (especially Luke's Awkward Girl story which are freaking funny!)

So later listening to the original version was definitely interesting. Fast pace and kinda pop/hip-hop, Bonnie McKee voice reminded me of Ke$ha and Katy Perry and in a odd way i keep thinking of Miley Cyrus "Party in The USA". or even Katy Perry "Teenage Dream" (one of my fav song by her thanks to Glee ;D) Somehow i didn't really like the MV... I don't know...i am kinda meh about it but i like the beginning of it when they were drinking Slurpee (my guilty pleasure :P lolz) that i assumed is mixed in alcohol... i think .. haha.

Anyway i later realized thanks to Wikipedia (and yes i am one of those who wiki everything) she is the song writer or co-wrote songs for Katy Perry, Ke$ha and even Carly Rey Jepson!

Well that explain the song style similarity :D

So... i hope you guys enjoy this song of the day  (which i really need to post more regular!). Maybe i need a more standard day to post song of the day's post???

Till then let me know what you think of this song. I am obsess with both original and cover!

What do you think of American Girl???? Original or Cover??? let me know in the comments below.

Till next time
